SENIOR SYSTEM & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Our client is an important International Group - focused on innovation to design gardening equipment for more than 90 years, all over the world.
They are looking for a SENIOR SYSTEM & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR who will report to Group ICT System Integrator & Infrastructure Manager.

The resource is based on Headquarter offices and is a member of worldwide ICT infrastructure team, working in collaboration with other Senior System & Network admins as well as the local and remote helpdesk departments spread around company sites

Key Responsibilities:

• The position is responsible for planning, implement, oversee and maintain server, network infrastructures and ICT projects; ensuring stability and integrity of the systems which are supporting Company's core functions.
• The Senior System & Network Administrator will daily monitor for system health, while offering support to the helpdesk department on the most complex tasks and researching and implementing new solutions to improve weak points and Company requirements.

Tecknical Knowledge:

• A strong academic skill-set in ICT technologies is needed: being current in single brand's specific technology is not required as long the candidate has knowledge and capability on the underlying protocols and technologies (which is more appreciated).

Networking

• High availability network topologies such as spine-and-leaf or others.
• Layer 1, 2 and 3 networking protocols such as: Switch Stacking, ARP, VLAN, STP, LACP, Static Routing, Policy Routing, WireShark debugginng.
• Firewalling: implementing and debugging policies, Site-to-Site IpSec tunnels, high availability Routing configurations (HSRP/VRRP), inbound and outbount NAT.
• VoIP experience with SIP-Trunks, H-263, etc. is appreciated.
• WPA-3 Enterprise Wireless: User and Computer based Radius campus authentication, centralised controller with satellite APs. Free roaming of clients among different countries and subsidiaries.

Datacenter Hardware, virtualization and Backup

• SAN systems in DAS, FiberChannel or iSCSI environment: LUN management and data handling (deduplication, snapshot, etc).
• Servers' Hardware upgrades and management in an HA scenario: firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, life cycle management, HW remote management (ILO/iDrac/etc.) with little to no service interruption.
• VmWare vSphere Enterprise clusters: VM creation, HA handling, virtual disks expansions, cold and hot VM migrations, virtual Networks tagging.
• Veeam Backup & Replication Enterprise Ed. experience: non-stop backups of Oracle DBs, full datacenter backup and continuous replications on Disaster Recovery sites, daily checks and debug. 3-2-1 Backup method.

Windows and Linux Servers

• Active Directory administration: 20+ domain controllers and MS Entra cloud extension in sync, Group Policy Objects design and deploy.
• Windows server management and hardening, continuous security patching and version upgrades using automated tools.
• User Access management: SIEM queries, periodical security assessments, access-rights definition and periodical cleaning, etc..
• Linux administration: implement and expand LVM volumes, network file systems mount-points, installing needed agents, automate daemons start, crontab, Active Directory join, Apache web server, Nagios monitoring or similar, etc..

ICT Services

• Mail protocols such as SMTP and their more complex security aspects like DKIM, DMARK, SPF etc..
• DNS Domain management (internal and public), including domain maintainer billing and renewal, DNS conditional forwarding and zone rewrites, sub-domains, etc..
• Google Workspace: GDrive, Mail, Meet, Sync with Active Directory, etc..
• Microsoft 365 suite: Entra, Mail, Teams, Sharepoint, InTune, etc..
• Antivirus / AntiSPAM / Web Filtering policies, management and troubleshooting.

Skills Requested:

• 5 or more years of experience in comparable role in structured companies are needed.
• Languages: Fluency in English, further languages knowledge is appreciated
• Availability to travel: 5-6 trips per year (national or international)

The resource is based on Headquarter offices (Castelfranco Veneto) with 3 days of Smart working
