Location: Provincia di Vicenza - Smart Working (2 days)
For an important International Group (Food industry) based in North Eastern Italy we are looking for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER who, by joining the Company, will report directly to the Global Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Controlling & Financial Analysis
- Monitor and analyze production costs (materials, labor, overhead) to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
- Work closely with the supply chain and procurement teams to analyze raw material pricing trends and optimize cost structures.
- Develop financial models to evaluate new production investments and process improvements.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the production unit.
- Track financial KPIs related to manufacturing, including cost per unit, margins, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Provide monthly financial reports to senior management with insights into production performance, cost savings, and risks.
3. SAP S4 HANA Implementation & Reporting
- Utilize SAP S4 HANA to manage cost controlling, production planning, and financial reporting.
4. Process Optimization & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze production workflow efficiency and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and procurement teams to drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor key industrial performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cost per unit, and inventory turnover.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Work closely with auditors to provide necessary financial documentation related to production costs.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks within production operations.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
- 2/3+ years of experience as an Industrial Controller, Cost Controller, or Financial Analyst in a manufacturing (food & beverage company in a plus)
- Really nice to have: knowledge of SAP/S4HANA (Controlling & Production Planning modules),
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into operational insights.
- Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and margin calculations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
