Our customer is a leading European provider of IT business solutions and consists of more than 100 independent business units that deliver products and services to their specific vertical market segments.

For them, we are looking for a dynamic Finance & Control Manager who will report directly to the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Leadership

  • Lead and manage the North Italy finance team based in Milan;
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial administration processes;
  • Oversee the preparation and development of periodic financial and management reports, ensuring they meet organizational standards;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors during statutory audits and group audits;
  • Continuously optimize administrative and business processes, driving improvements that enhance efficiency and control;
  • Oversee the seamless integration of financial processes for newly acquired companies and business units.


Controlling & Strategic Financial Planning

  • Lead the North Italy controlling team, contributing to the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with business objectives;
  • Provide proactive, strategic financial advice to management, acting as a trusted business partner in decision-making processes;
  • Monitor and manage business risks, ensuring that risk management strategies are effectively implemented;
  • Control and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and taking corrective action when necessary;
  • Transform data into actionable insights that drive informed business decisions.


People Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance and control team;
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring the team remains agile, motivated, and aligned with business goals.


Key Performance Indicators

  • Continuous improvement in financial processes and systems;
  • High-quality, timely financial reporting and management information;
  • Successful integration of acquired companies and business units;
  • Achievement of budgetary and KPI objectives;
  • Development and retention of top finance talent.


Requirements:

  • A university-level degree, preferably in Business Economics, Finance & Control, or Accounting;
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including approximately 5 years in Accountancy/Audit;
  • Experience with Business Central (Dynamics 365) and/or OneStream is advantageous;
  • Strong decision-making abilities, with the confidence to take ownership and drive results;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the organization;
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a high degree of learning agility;
  • A hands-on mentality with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution;
  • Fluency in Italian and English (C1).
